Youth Welfare Department and NSS function as nodal organizations in the college to promote literary, co-curricular and creative activities. Late Dilshad Akhtar, Balkar Sidhu, Nirmal Sidhu, Harinder Sandhu, Baldhir Mahla, the popular punjabi folk singers of Punjab are the pride products of this college. There is a tradition of holding Zonal Youth Festival in the colleges of Universities every year. Since 1972, out of 32 Youth festivals, 16 have been held in our college. Our college is the venue for most of the items connected with Baba Farid Aagman Purb, a National Festival
.
There are many associations and societies which monitor co-curricular activities. The prominent societies and clubs being Commerce Association, J.C. Bose Biological Society, Sports Club, Punjabi Sahit Sabha, Hindi Sahit Parishad, English Literature Students' Association, Sir C.V. Raman Physico Chemical Society, Parents Teachers Association, Brijndra Sabhiacharak Manch, Geographers' Association and Health Club.

The youth welfare department monitors the cultural activities of students and prepares them for participating in youth festivals, inter college declamation contests, debates and other cultural activities.
Five units of N.S.S maintain the campus and work for community development, rural upliftment and create awareness against social evils and deadly diseases.
Parents Teachers Association (PTA)
Every year PTA is formed under the presidentship of the Principal. Parent of students and teachers of the college elect various office bearers for one year. The PTA monitors all development works or repair of building and furniture etc.. The PTA also contributes in the development of additional infrastructure. The Post graduate department, the conference hall and the herbarium in biolgy department have been built in collaboration with PTA. A well furnished Girls Common Room named Sanjivani Hall has also been built with the co-operation of PTA. A seperate block for Physical Education Department cum Physico Health Centre is also under construction with the kind help of PTA.
The students who take part in for cultural and sports activities are given refreshment and other help out of PTA funds.
National Service Scheme (NSS)
N.S.S provides a healthy link between the students of the college and the people of the area. Ours is the only college in the University to have five units of 250 students who work under the guidance of five dedicated programme officers. Backward areas and poor bastis in the town and the villages around Faridkot have been adopted by the N.S.S. Volunteers of this college to work for community development, eradication of social evils like drug addiction , dowry and other ills etc.
Sports
Our college is a nursery of sports. Excellence has become the distinguishing mark of our sports persons. Our teachers and coaches have created a sports culture among the youth, always encouraging them to practise sportsman spirit in games as well as in life. All grounds are teeming with sports persons in the mornings, in the evenings and throughout the year. In all the games - Hockey, Volleyball, Basket Ball, Kabaddi, Wrestling, Cricket, Swimming Judo, Handball etc., our students win distinctions in the University, Inter-Varsity,State, Inter-State and National Competitions. Our college has been champion in wrestling for the last 23 years. In Hockey too, we are either University Champions or runners-up every year. The college has produced a record number of international players, prominent among them being Olympian Chand Singh, Olympian Rajinder Singh , Olympian Rupa Saini, Olympian Prema Saini, Olympian Kulwant Bhullar and International Hockey Coach S. Harbans Singh.
National Cadet Corps ( NCC)
The college has one unit of NCC. Only boys can take NCC. They are prepared for 'B' and C level examination. These certificates help the students in their higher studies and to get employment also. NCC Certificate holders are exempted from written test in Army entrance examination. Similarly, in the selection of soldiers for general and technical categories, bonus marks of 8% (B certificate) and 5% ( A certificate) are given to the students. Our NCC cadets have also been selected for Republic Day Parades held at New Delhi.
Red Cross Unit
Two Red Cross units have been established in the college. In these units, the students get an opportunity to take active part in social and national service programmes. It helps them to improve and develop their personality.
College Magazine
"The Brijindra" is the annual publication of the college which gives opportunity to the student writers to expose themselves. It gives them a platform to publish their writings such as poems, stories, essays and other creative and productive ideas. Apart from the teacher editors, there is an editorial board of students also.
Wall Magazine
The " Punjabi Sahit Sabha" has always worked for inspiring the young students in creative activities. So, the students are given an opportunity though wall magazine called "The Brinindrian" to give expression to their creative instincts. Their creations such as poems, stories etc. are displayed in the wall space meant for "The Brijindrian". Other students who read these creations get encouragement from it. The Punjabi Sahit Sabha keeps a record of all these creative activities.
Brijindra Sabhiyacharak Manch
This manch is a literary forum. It has been established to encourage cultural and literary activities in the college. All the programmes are conducted under the banner of this manch. It has played a major role in honouring the teachers who have made a valueable contribution in the field of literature, academics, culture and art. It has published Souvenirs on the occasion of the retirement of the teachers of this college in 2002. Souvenirs were published on the retirement of Prof. Prem Pali, Prof. M.S. Khosa, Prof D.R. Bhandari, Prof. H.S. Gill and Prof. Braham Jagdish Singh. The publication of Souvenir on the retirement of teacher is a novel practice in the college. Articles regarding the life and contribution of the teachers concerned reflect the role of teachers and their impact on the society.
Clubs and Associations
Different departments have formed their associations and clubs which organise various events such as competitions, seminars etc. for personality and overall development of the students. They provide a platform to the students to explore their talent and potential. Following clubs and associations are active in different departments :

Other Activities
Seminars and declamation contests are organised in the college to highlight the issues like corruption, dowry, female foeticide, women empowerment and AIDS - so that students may learn honesty, integrity and purity in life and work for social upliftment.
The college inculcates civic responsibilities among the students by motivating them to join various activities and campaigns like tree plantation, anti drug drives, adult education, awareness about AIDS, environment education
etc. The college aims at the all round development of the personality of its learners. There are many clubs and societies which provide a forum to the students to develop their personality and display their talents. The college organizes intra and inter class competitions, seminars, assignments , panel discussions, talks by specialists on personality building and camps etc for overall development of the students.
